Disclaimer
Gamble Verdict works out the arithmetic behind casino games and betting markets and tells American readers which offshore operators publish terms worth reading. Below is where that work stops being something to rely on. It is issued by the publisher, Firnova Studios FZ-LLC, Al Thuraya Tower 1, Dubai Media City, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and it applies to the explainers, rankings, operator reviews, state guides, archive pages and newsroom items on gambleverdict.com.
The desk does not take wagers
Gamble Verdict is a publication. It has no sportsbook, no casino software, no cashier and no player accounts. When a reader signs up with an operator named on the site, the contract is between the reader and that operator; the desk stands outside it and cannot intervene in a frozen balance, a cancelled bonus or a delayed payout.
Legality is decided state by state
No federal licence exists for online casino play. A small group of states, among them New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia, Delaware, Connecticut and Rhode Island, license real-money online casino play inside their borders; sports betting is legal in a much larger and still shifting group of states; and many states license nothing online at all. Federal statutes such as the Wire Act and the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act add a layer on top. The operators in our rankings are offshore companies that accept US players under foreign licences. None of them holds a US state licence, and the desk never presents them as if they did. Whether you may lawfully play with them depends on where you are physically located, and only you can check that. The US States section explains each state's position as of its last update; the state regulator's own site is the final word.
Age
Our rankings and reviews are for readers aged 21 or older. Some states allow certain forms of gambling from 18, but the desk applies 21 to every casino page. Anyone younger should not follow operator links from this site.
What an offshore licence means for you
A foreign licence, from Curaçao, Anjouan, Kahnawake or elsewhere, is issued under that jurisdiction's rules, not under the consumer protections of your state. If a dispute arises, your state regulator will usually not take it up, and the complaint route runs through the operator and its licensing body abroad. Banks and card issuers may decline gambling payments, and some processors reverse them. Treat any deposit with an offshore operator as money you could lose access to.
Rankings follow published terms
We order operators by the terms they publish: wagering multiples, maximum cash-out, withdrawal limits and processing times, game weighting and the documents they ask for. That is our reading of public documents, scored as set out on the how we rate page. Terms change, sometimes the same week we check them, and the wording that counts is whatever the casino shows on the day you opt in to a bonus. A high place in a ranking is not a promise of conduct.
The maths pages
House edges, return-to-player figures, expected values and probabilities in our explainers are worked from published pay tables, rule cards and studio data, with the arithmetic shown. They describe the long run. A session of a few hundred hands or spins can land far from the expected figure in either direction. Where a game ships with several RTP settings, the operator chooses one, and the in-game info panel states the figure in use.
Betting systems and advantage play
We explain progressions, card counting, teasers and similar topics because readers ask about them. Explaining a system is not recommending it. Progressions do not change the edge; counting and other advantage methods can lead to restricted accounts, and techniques described for one game or rule set rarely carry over intact to another.
Tax pages
Gambling winnings are taxable income under federal law, and our tax explainers walk through reporting forms, losses and professional status in general terms. They are not tax advice. Your state's rules and your own records matter; a CPA or enrolled agent can apply them to your return.
Archive pages and the newsroom feed
Guides written for the earlier version of this site remain at their original addresses and carry a note that their figures date from the original writing. Items in the newsroom feed of the Articles section describe events as of their date; some outbound links in those items may be paid placements, and the footer says so. Neither should be read as current advice.
Affiliate links
Rankings and operator reviews carry affiliate links, and an operator pays us when a reader opens and funds an account through one. Explainers carry none. How that money is kept apart from the order of a ranking is explained under Independence and how the site is paid.
Other websites
Links take readers to operators, regulators, courts, statute databases, studios and help services. Gamble Verdict does not control those sites and cannot vouch for what they publish, how they protect visitors or how they treat personal data.
Names and marks
Operator, game and studio names, logos and screenshots stay with their rights holders and are shown solely so the reader knows what a page is about. Their presence does not mean the owner reviewed, sponsored or endorsed anything on gambleverdict.com.
Corrections and availability
Errors are fixed on the page once confirmed, and changes to a figure or conclusion are noted with a date, as the editorial policy describes. Even so, the desk cannot warrant that every page is free of error and up to date on any given day, or that gambleverdict.com will stay online without breaks.
Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by the law that applies to you, Firnova Studios FZ-LLC and the Gamble Verdict desk will not be liable for losses connected with using the site: wagers lost, bonuses forfeited, withdrawals withheld, account closures, tax consequences or decisions taken on information that had become outdated. Nothing on this page limits rights that your state's law says cannot be waived.
If gambling is causing harm
Keep stakes to money set aside for entertainment and stop at the limit you chose before starting. If you are chasing losses, borrowing, or hiding how much you play, 1-800-MY-RESET (1-800-697-3738), run as the National Problem Gambling Helpline, answers calls, texts and chats around the clock in all 50 states. That service is for gambling problems, not emergencies: where someone's safety is at immediate risk, dial 911; thoughts of suicide go to 988. Further options, including self-exclusion, are in our problem gambling guide.
Changes
The desk revises this disclaimer whenever the site, the method or the law it describes changes. The current text is the one published here.
