Sources

Every number on a new page — a house edge, a tax rate, a payout, a date — comes from a named source or from arithmetic shown on the page. Primary documents come first: federal and state statutes, regulators’ published reports and rules, court rulings, and the pay tables and rule cards that games publish. Where a figure cannot be traced to a source it is left out.

Fact-checking

Before publication a second member of the desk checks each figure against its source and re-runs the arithmetic. Legal pages are checked against the current text of the law, not against summaries.

Corrections

Mistakes are corrected on the page as soon as they are confirmed. A correction that changes a figure or a conclusion is noted at the end of the page with the date and what changed. Report a mistake to [email protected] with the address of the page and the sentence in question.

Independence and how the site is paid

Gamble Verdict charges readers nothing. The site is paid by operators, through affiliate agreements, and only on two kinds of page: the rankings and the operator reviews. The explainers, state guides and tax pages carry no affiliate links, and the desk takes no payment for coverage.

How the arrangement works, point by point:

  1. The link. Buttons on rankings and reviews lead through a gambleverdict.com/go/ address before reaching the operator. That hop lets the operator credit the visit to us and places the session pair mozbiz_session and XSRF-TOKEN on gambleverdict.com; both are listed in the cookie policy.
  2. The payment. Should that hop end in a new, funded account, the operator may pay Firnova Studios FZ-LLC, the publisher, a one-off amount per referred player whose first deposit clears, a percentage of what those players lose to the operator over time, or a blend of the two. The terms differ from one programme to another.
  3. Your cost. None. The operator pays from its marketing budget. Bonus, wagering and limits are identical whether you come from us or type the address yourself; if they are not, tell us and the link goes.
  4. The order. Rankings follow the published terms, scored under how we rate. A higher commission does not move an operator up. An operator whose terms we cannot read in full does not appear.
  5. The limitation. A working button exists only where the operator's programme has accepted us, so the rankings cover operators we work with, not the entire offshore market.
  6. Demotion. If a paying operator worsens its terms, drags out withdrawals or loses its licence, its review is updated and its place falls or it is removed, whatever the agreement says.
  7. The writers. Nobody on the desk earns a bonus tied to sign-ups, and a review reaches operators only once it is public. They may report a factual error, which is checked like any other.

The newsroom feed of the Articles section is separate: some outbound links in its items may be paid placements, and the footer of every page says so. Questions about commercial arrangements go to [email protected].

Submissions and the newsroom feed

The Articles section also carries a newsroom feed of general items from the wider industry. Items in the feed are labelled as such and are not betting advice. Pitches and submissions go to the same address; the desk replies to those it takes up.

Updates

Pages on law and tax are reviewed when the rule they describe changes. A page that has been reviewed shows an “Updated” date next to the original one.
